‘Dear Winnie’ voted best theatre show of 2020 by De Morgen

Alesandra Seutin has been working as choreographer and performer for the theatre production Dear Winnie, and we are pleased to announce that it was recently voted the best theatre show of 2020 by Belgian newspaper De Morgen. Created by KVS, NNT, Mthombeni, Fikry El Azzouzi and Cesar Janssens, the production was performed at KVS, Brussels in early 2020.

Touring exclusively in Holland and Belgium from 2019-2020, in Dear Winnie stories by nine actresses, singers and performers with African roots (from among others South Africa, Cameroon, Ghana, Cape Verde, Suriname and the Caribbean islands) are interwoven with that of Winnie Mandela, activist against the apartheid regime. Stories about shared history, connected to those of the Netherlands, filled with power, ruthless honesty and the seeds of inspiration and hope.
