Vicki Igbokwe receives AWA DANCE ‘Women in Dance’ award

We are thrilled to announce that Vicki Igbokwe, founder of Uchenna Dance, received AWA DANCE’s (Advancing Women's Aspirations with Dance) first ever annual Women in Dance award! The award was presented during an online celebratory event on 26th March 2021.

To coincide with the one year anniversary of the creation of AWA DANCE, the award ceremony celebrated a woman for being an outstanding leader in the UK dance sector in 2020, someone whose actions have made an impact beyond herself.

Vicki’s fellow nominees were: Genevieve Say, Kate Stanforth, Kamara Gray, Lucy McCrudden and Tamsin Fitzgerald.
