Grace Okereke Speaking in Therme: Theatre and Architecture Forum at Sibiu Festival 2022, Romania on 30th June 2022

Uprise Rebel is pleased to announce that our Founder, Grace Okereke will be joining a panel on People, Places and Resilience: the Role of Identity, organised by architecture firm Arup, Therme Group and Sibiu International Theatre Festival, at 3pm on 30th June 2022. The panel will be taking place online.

The event series gathers leading designers, managers and artists to discuss theatre and the value of wider investment in culture. The forum was initially presented in preparation for the development of the new Arts & Conference Centre in Sibiu.

The past years have increased social awareness of tensions and inequities related to disenfranchised communities. How do we raise voices that have been silenced and embrace hidden identities in the arts? How do we design our environments, and our relationships to them, to support diverse communities? How can the arts and culture sector support equitable access and social justice, while contributing to more resilient and sustainable communities?

Grace will be joined by Jasmin Sheppard, Choreographer, Anthony Hoete, Ngārchitecture and Elena Dubinets, London Philharmonic Orchestra.
