Grace Okereke and Vicki Igbokwe Visit New Sadler’s Wells East Site

Uprise Rebel are pleased to share that our Founder, Grace Okereke, and Uchenna Dance Founder, Vicki Igbokwe, were recently invited to visit the new Sadler’s Wells East site during its construction. Due to open in 2023, the new venue will feature a 500 seater theatre, and is based in Stratford’s Queen Elizabeth Park.

The inaugural production for the new venue will be choreographed by Vicki Igbokwe, and is based on Uchenna Dance’s 2013 production Our Mighty Groove, choreographed with local dancers and communities. Our Mighty Groove is an immersive-interactive production set within a New York underground nightclub where the space is filled with dance, music and diva antics.
