Alleyne Dance’s film ‘(Re)United’ selected for SFDFF Fall Festival and Birmingham Film Festival

We are pleased to announce that Alleyne Dance’s short interactive film, (Re)United has been selected for two film festivals this Autumn: the San Francisco Dance Film Festival and the Birmingham Film Festival.

Inspired by the true-life separation of Sir Mo Farrah and his twin brother who were torn apart due to the outbreak of war, identical twin sisters Kristina and Sadé Alleyne interpret the conflicting and probable nerve-racking emotions of the moment in time when they meet again. The film highlights the power and bond between siblings, and though separated and unable to connect physically for several years, the bonds and connectivity of family can still be held together through love and hope. (Re)United is directed by award-winning filmmaker Antoine Marc.

Taking place from 15th - 24th October 2021, the San Francisco Dance Film Festival is a nonprofit organization that brings dance to new audiences through the presentation and development of dance-based media. Global audiences will enjoy streaming access through Marquee TV alongside select in-person screenings in San Francisco. For more information please click here.

The Birmingham Film Festival is running from 19th - 28th November and will also include seminars, Q&As and workshops from
top level industry experts and professionals, most of which are free to attend as are all film screenings. (Re)United has also been nominated in the Best Score category. For more information please click here.
