Alleyne Dance receive Arts Council England funding for new stage production, ‘Far From Home’

We are thrilled to announce that Alleyne Dance have recently received support from Arts Council England for their new production, Far From Home. Currently in the research & development stage, the piece has been co-commissioned by DanceEast, Ipswich, The Place, London and Dance City, Newcastle upon Tyne.

The work reflects the consequences the search for “a better life” has for those forced to seek it due to social or political devastations. FFH will delve into the impact migration has on families, the ethnic tapestry of local communities and challenges the meaning of tolerance and practice of integration.

Performances are due to take place in Autumn 2021, more details to follow soon.
