Alesandra Seutin Wins Golden Afro Artistic Award for Dance & Choreography

Uprise Rebel is thrilled to announce that Artistic Director Alesandra Seutin has won the Golden Afro Artistic Award for Dance & Choreography at a ceremony held in Brussels in October 2023.

The objective of the Golden Afro Artistic Awards is to give visibility to Afro-descendant artists in Belgium that are delivering excellent work.

Recognition, reward, promotion of artists and artistic projects that create value in the Afro-European. These Golden Afro Artistic Awards also aim to raise awareness about talents that are too little represented in mainstream traditional media.

Since its inception in 2016, the Golden Afro Artistic Awards have recognized and highlighted more than 70 artists, propelling their careers to new heights. Artists such as Marc Zinga, Kody, Jeny BSG, Cécile Djunga, Lubiana and many others received recognition during this ceremony.
